What is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative process in which we work together to help get you from where you are now, to where you want to be. While the process may be different for each person, in general coaching involves creating clarity about your goals and desires, and working through mindblocks that prevent you from moving in that direction. Together we create a pathway for transformation, with me serving as a built-in accountability partner.
How is coaching different from therapy?
In general, coaching tends to be more present and future oriented, while therapy tends to focus more on the past. Therapy tends to focus more on the “why” of an issue, while coaching tends to focus more on “how”. While therapy may involve unearthing traumas and treating mental disorders, coaching is more centered on how you can shift mindset and transform your life in an actionable way.
How often are coaching sessions scheduled?
Coaching sessions are usually scheduled to occur once every 2 weeks. Occasionally we might change the frequency, but I have found that 2 weeks is an interval that allows us to keep momentum with forward progress, but also gives you enough time to work on creating the change or shift that was discussed in the previous session.
Are coaching sessions conducted in-person or remotely?
Sessions are conducted remotely via video conference. If a client prefers, I will also do tele-sessions by phone, though I have found that people typically prefer video sessions.
How do I get started with coaching?
Schedule a complimentary discovery call in which we can discuss what brings you to coaching and what you hope to gain through this process.
How is pricing determined?
Coaching packages are typically sold as a 3-month or 6-month commitment. This type of time-frame is usually the most beneficial for creating long-lasting change. In our discovery call, we can review pricing plans to see what works best for you.
What if I need support in a specific area not mentioned on your website?
I coach on a range of topics. Fundamentally I coach the person, not the problem. I would be happy to meet for a complimentary discovery call and discuss your concerns, so that together we can decide if we are a good fit for each other.
